Bullying!

Have you been bullied in school or any where else? Well I haven’t been bullied but I have seen someone getting bullied! This is when I was in my old school before I came to ISKL. I was in 4th grade then and I was in the age of about 8 or 9.

When I was coming to school one day I say this little girl that was in 2nd grade. She was sitting next to a tree doing her homework then a bunch of high school kids came and saw that little kid doing her homework by the tree. When I waked past her she was getting bullied by all of those mean high school kids. They were saying mean and nasty things to her like “you are so ugly no one in this school will ever like” and other stuff. Also they asked for her money but she said “no I won’t give it to you”. What they did was they kicked so hard on her leg that she broke her leg. Then this is the part where I stood up for her. I helped her up and asked her “are you ok”? She said “no” and started to cry. After that I told all those high school kids, “if you all were little kids and someone did the same thing to you I don’t think you would like that, so back of unless you want me to tell the principle right now”. It actually worked they just walked away saying nothing, which of course I was proud of myself that I stood up for that little girl.

I helped that little girl to the nurse and the nurse sent her to the hospital to get her leg better. I was really sad for that girl that she broke her leg. From that day I would always stand up for myself whenever I get bullied or someone else gets bullied in school or somewhere else. I wonder how it will be like if I was bullied.

A time I showed Courage!

Well I bet no one is actually scared to go to their own bathroom in thier house right? If you ask me if I am scared to go to the bathroom, then I would say " yes I am scared to go to my own bathroom when I was still like at the age of about eight or nine". Here is a story of a time how I showed courage when I was young.

When I was young, I have had always a big fear of going to the bathroom in my room. The reason that I was scared to go to my own bathroom was because the bathroom's in my house are really dark and I am not a big fan of dark places. When ever I needed to go to the bathroom when it was still daylight I would leave the bathroom door open in my room but if it was at night then I would ask someone to come with me and stand outside my bathroom.

I have a older brother which is about sixteen now. He would always embarass me in front people by saying '' aatiqah is scared to go to her own bathroom she always asks someone to come stand outside her bathroom''. I told him to stop doing that but as usual he wouldn't stop. So one day what I told him was " just keep watching I will never be scared to go my own or any other bathroom again". I was actually not scared to go to my bathroom ever again. My brother said " ok you are not scared to go to the bathroom anymore you have got a lot of courage".

Since I am eleven now I am not at all scared to go to my bathroom even though there was daylight or it was night time. Remember all of this that happened was when I was about eight to nine yesrs old. That was how I showed courage to everyone.

What do the artifacts tell us about the lives of early humans?

Cave Paintings of shapes with Handprints

This cave painting was found in a cave in Argentina, South America. It shows cirular shapes, sticklike animal and three handprints. Paintings of shapes and handprints are common in cave art. Scientists believe that the handprints were the way the artist signed a painting.some scientists think that the geometric shapes had special meanings in rituals.

Spear Thrower

The Spear Thrower was found in France. It was made from a reindeer antler bone, it 10 inches long. It was made about 18,000 years ago. The Spear Thrower has a leaping horse carved into the top. The artist must have carved a great deal about decorating this important hunting tool. Scientists believed that the horse was carved for decoration.

Cave Art Tools

The tools and materials you see include 2 piles, rock hard minerals and a grind stone for grinding the minerals. There are also sculptures pick and an engraving tool. Scientist studied tools like these and tried to guess how they were used. Cave artist used tool made out of sharpen stones to sculpt and engrave objects and cave walls.
